The Center of Reproductive Rights (CRR) uses the power of law to advance reproductive rights as fundamental human rights around the world. In 2019 as the center underwent a rebranding, I took the opportunity to step in and show leadership, art direction, and overall design skills. As an in-house digital designer, this meant taking care of an infinite amount of creative tasks, from email and web graphics to social media content and guidelines.
Web graphics & photo sourcing/editing
The CRR uses storytelling and activism to reach its audience, on their website, you will see a stream of reproductive rights statements and news; It is a delicate task to showcase vulnerable narratives, so all my work was designed with an understanding that vulnerability needs to be protected by applying discretion, dignity, and inclusivity. Graphics include hero images, pop-up ads, thumbnails, banners and feature stories.
Storytelling
As we strive to give a voice to the victims of reproductive injustice, we know that storytelling can be a strong aid for that objective. With this campaign, we aimed to spread awareness and make an impact by letting those who need support know they are not alone.
Social media content
The CRR has a strong social media presence, I built upon its strengths and created content that generated a sense of urgency while maintaining it elevated, welcoming, and evocative.
